Global Mind Games
Partners with Global Entrepreneurship Week
To Launch New Game
Application on Facebook® Platform
Innovative game
challenges entrepreneurs worldwide to unleash their ideas
BOSTON, MA – October 13, 2010 – Global Mind Games, a producer of
social games that provoke debate and inspire real-world change, today announced
a partnership with Global
Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) to launch Global Innovation Game (GiG) –
a free, online and interactive game that engages aspiring and serial
entrepreneurs in meaningful competition.
Partnering with GEW introduces this new game to an audience
of 7.6 million people who participated in GEW last year, a figure that is only
expected to increase this year.
GEW was co-founded in 2008 by the Kauffman
Foundation and Enterprise UK as
a global initiative exposing millions of people to life-changing
entrepreneurial experiences.
"Global Mind Games produces games that give players fun with
real-world value," said Fred Skoler, president and executive producer at Global
Mind Games. "Global Innovation
Game teases out inventive ideas, rewards mentorship, expands a player's
business network, and creates a platform to showcase strategy, creativity and
expertise."
Played on Facebook Platform, GiG challenges players to share
innovative solutions for problems impacting communities across the globe. The
game's initial challenges are themed around energy, health and transportation. To succeed, players must collaborate
with others to drive up the value of their solutions – or work to bury
the competition. GiG's dynamic
economy turns fortunes as quickly as a viral story
sweeps the Internet.
"During one week in November, we put a shot of adrenaline in
the arm of anyone with a new idea," said Jonathan Ortmans, president of Global
Entrepreneurship Week. "GiG provides a fun and educational experience that
keeps people interested and engaged when the GEW celebration quiets down."
GEW 2010 takes place from November 15th to 21st
in 100 countries. For updates
